Red Door Chamber Partners Educational Program

The Red Door Chamber Players have received a 2020 LI Creative Learning grant to offer the Red Door Chamber Partners Educational Program. This program is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and administered by The Huntington Arts Council. We will be accepting registration applications from students across Suffolk County to be placed in string quartets (3 youth groups and 1 adult group). All groups will receive 5 free weekly 1 hour coaching sessions from professional musicians, The Red Door Teaching Artists, followed by a performance in the town of Brookhaven. The Red Door Chamber Players are partnering with the Cultural Arts Committee of the William Floyd Community Summit to implement this educational chamber music program. Participants will be chosen based on their availability, teacher recommendation sheet, and readiness for chamber ensemble experiences.
